Sublimation Gang Sheet AutoBuilder

Looking for a versatile and durable solution for your sublimation printing needs? Look no further than our Sublimation Gang Sheet AutoBuilder. Perfect for both polyester garments and polymer-coated hard goods, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting colors that won't fade over time. With fine, intricate details and sharp resolution, your designs will come to life with no hand feel — the ink is infused into the material for a soft and smooth finish.

Our gang sheets are custom-printed in full color on premium 24" wide Epson DS Sublimation Transfer Paper. This high-quality transfer paper is engineered for excellent ink transferability, giving your projects bold, accurate colors and an exceptionally wide color gamut. Thanks to its low cockling properties, you'll enjoy a smooth, flawless finish with minimized risk of ghosting — ideal for even your most detailed designs.

Not only is this product durable and wash-resistant, but it also offers a versatile application — you can apply it to both apparel and hard goods. And with its easy application process, you'll be able to create professional-quality prints in no time. Please note that sublimation does not print white ink, so transfers can only be applied to white or light-colored products.

Whether you're working on t-shirts, mugs, or any sublimation-friendly surface, these gang sheets are designed to help bring your creative visions to life with unmatched clarity and brilliance.

What Is a Sublimation Gang Sheet?

A sublimation gang sheet is a single sheet of dye-sublimation transfer film loaded with as many designs as you can fit — printed edge-to-edge on 22"-wide paper so you maximize every square inch and eliminate per-design setup fees. Instead of ordering one design at a time, you arrange all your artwork onto one sheet, upload it, and we print the entire run at once. It's the smartest, most cost-efficient way to produce custom sublimation transfers in bulk without sacrificing color quality or design variety.

At Outta PHX Print Shop, our sublimation gang sheets are produced using advanced CMYK sublimation technology, delivering richly saturated, true-to-life color that permanently fuses into the fibers of 100% polyester and polyester-coated hard goods — no cracking, no peeling, no fading, ever.

High-Quality Sublimation Transfer Paper

We use Epson DS Sublimation Transfer Paper, renowned for its wide 24" width and exceptional color range. This premium paper is specifically designed to capture rich, vibrant hues and crisp details, making it a favorite among creators looking for professional results on every project.

Engineered for maximum ink release and minimal cockling, this paper ensures your prints remain clean and sharp throughout the transfer process. Its smooth surface and high transfer efficiency help prevent issues like ghosting, so your designs stay true to your original vision — every time.

When applying to apparel, we recommend using a heat press for best results. Be sure to use a white or light-colored 100% polyester or polyester-heavy garment and place a new piece of parchment paper inside for each press. Use a lint roller to remove any debris and heat tape to secure your transfer in place to avoid ghosting. Prepress the garment for 10 seconds to remove moisture, then press the transfer at 390–400°F for 50–60 seconds with medium pressure. Make sure the transfer does not shift after pressing and peel immediately and evenly.

Why Choose Outta PHX Sublimation Gang Sheets

VIBRANT, PERMANENT COLOR
Sublimation dye doesn't sit on top of the surface — it bonds directly into the fibers or coating at the molecular level. The result is a print that's fully part of the material: no hand feel, no raised surface, no peeling. Colors stay vivid through hundreds of washes and years of use.

WORKS ON WHITE & LIGHT-COLORED POLYESTER
Sublimation requires a white or very light base and a polyester-rich substrate (50%+ poly for apparel, or polymer-coated hard goods). It will not print white ink — the light base of the garment or item acts as the white in the design. Results are brightest and most accurate on 100% polyester or polymer-coated surfaces.

ZERO HAND FEEL
Because the dye fuses into the material rather than sitting on top, sublimation prints feel completely smooth. No stiff edges, no texture, no outline. The design becomes part of the fabric itself.

PERFECT FOR HARD GOODS
Polymer-coated mugs, tumblers, phone cases, mousepads, keychains, coasters, ornaments, photo panels, and more — sublimation is the standard process for full-color, permanent decoration on hard goods. Our gang sheets make it cost-effective to print multiple designs in one run.

PAY ONLY FOR WHAT YOU PRINT
We charge by the area your designs occupy — down to the sub-inch level. No fees for blank sheet space, no padding surcharges. Tightly pack your sheet and your per-design cost drops dramatically.

10 SHEET SIZES — 22×12 TO 22×120 INCHES
Scale up or down based on your project. From a single small sheet for a few mug wraps to a 10-foot run for a full product line — we have a size that fits your production.

FAST TURNAROUND
Same-day production available for orders placed before our 2–3 PM Phoenix cutoff. Express shipping at checkout. Local Phoenix Valley customers can pick up in person the same day.

How Polyester Content Impacts Color Vibrancy

The vibrancy of your sublimation transfer depends largely on the polyester content of your garment. For the brightest and most striking results, always use 100% polyester fabric — this ensures the colors are bold, clear, and truly pop. If you use garments with a lower polyester percentage, like a 65% polyester blend, the final look will have a more muted or vintage effect, as less dye bonds with the fabric fibers.

Keep in mind: Sublimation won't work on 100% cotton, and for the best transfer quality, avoid using fabrics that contain less than 65% polyester. As a general rule, the higher the polyester content, the more vivid your finished image will appear.

Why Not Use an Iron?

While it might be tempting to reach for a household iron, we don't recommend it for applying sublimation transfers. Irons can't provide the consistent temperature or even pressure needed for successful sublimation. This often leads to uneven results, colors that don't pop, or a design that fades prematurely. For best results, stick with a heat press or a device like the Cricut Easy Press — these ensure just the right heat and pressure for vibrant, lasting transfers every time.

Do You Need to Mirror Your Images Before Submitting?

No need to mirror your designs before uploading — they'll be automatically mirrored by our print software to ensure everything transfers perfectly. Just submit your files as they appear, and we'll handle the rest. This way, you can focus on creating your artwork without worrying about orientation mishaps or reversed text.

Sizing Guidelines for Sublimation Transfers

To ensure your designs look perfectly proportioned on every garment, we recommend the following maximum image sizes based on age group and fit:

  • Infants: Up to 5 inches on the longest side
  • Toddlers & Kids: Up to 7 inches on the longest side
  • Youth: Up to 8.5 inches on the longest side
  • Standard Adult: Up to 10.5 inches on the longest side
  • Adult Plus: Up to 12 inches on the longest side

These guidelines will help you achieve beautiful, balanced results across shirts, onesies, and even hoodies — no matter who you're printing for.

Image Submission Guidelines

To ensure your prints turn out exactly as you envision, please follow our artwork requirements closely:

  • All images should be at least 300 DPI to guarantee sharp, high-quality results.
  • For optimal print quality, submit your artwork in PNG format whenever possible. PNG, SVG, and JPEG are all accepted.
  • No need to mirror your artwork before uploading — our system takes care of this step automatically.
  • Please submit your designs at their intended print size — we do not offer resizing services and print at the exact size you upload.
  • Double-check that your artwork dimensions are exact — your gang sheet must be exactly 22" wide.
  • We are unable to accept images that contain any visible watermarks or are copyrighted by brands such as Disney. Make sure your artwork is original or that you have the rights to use it.
  • For best clarity and color, use PNG files with transparent backgrounds.
  • Avoid submitting any watermarked or unlicensed images — these cannot be accepted.

Taking a moment to prep your files properly ensures you'll get the crisp, vibrant results you expect — every time.

How to Apply Sublimation Gang Sheet Transfers — Step by Step

1. PRE-PRESS YOUR SUBSTRATE (REQUIRED)
Unlike DTF, sublimation requires a pre-press. For apparel: press for 5–10 seconds to remove all moisture and wrinkles before applying your transfer.

2. POSITION YOUR TRANSFER
Place the printed sublimation transfer face-down onto your substrate. Use heat-resistant tape to secure it in place — especially on curved surfaces or fine-detail designs where shifting will ruin the print.

3. PRESS AT 390–400°F FOR 50–60 SECONDS
Apply firm, even medium pressure. Always use parchment paper or a Teflon guard between the press platen and the transfer to protect your garment and ensure an even press.

4. PEEL IMMEDIATELY (HOT PEEL)
Remove the substrate from the press and peel the transfer sheet away immediately while still hot. Sublimation paper is a hot-peel process. Waiting for the transfer to cool can cause the ink to re-absorb into the paper and produce a washed-out result. Peel slowly and evenly.

5. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY
Set the finished item aside to cool before handling. Colors will appear slightly muted while hot and will fully saturate and sharpen as they cool. Do not judge color accuracy until the item is fully room temperature.

🌡️ RECOMMENDED PRESS SETTINGS BY SUBSTRATE
100% Polyester Apparel: 390–400°F · 50–60 seconds · Medium pressure · Hot peel
50/65% Poly Blends: 385–390°F · 50 seconds · Medium pressure · Expect reduced vibrancy vs. 100% poly
Polymer-Coated Hard Goods (mugs, plates): 375–400°F · 180–210 seconds · Mug press or flat press with appropriate mold
Polyester-Coated Phone Cases & Panels: 385°F · 60 seconds · Flat press · Hot peel

Please note: Sublimation instructions may vary depending on the product you are applying to. These are only guidelines — please check with the manufacturer of your product before pressing.

Sublimation Gang Sheet FAQ

What is a sublimation gang sheet and how does it differ from a regular sublimation transfer?
A sublimation gang sheet is a single large sheet of sublimation transfer paper packed with multiple designs — arranged however you choose within the 22" width. Instead of paying per design, you consolidate everything onto one sheet and pay only for the square inches your designs occupy. It's the most cost-efficient way to produce custom sublimation prints, especially when you have multiple designs, small per-design quantities, or a mix of items to decorate in one session.

What fabrics and materials work with sublimation gang sheets?
Sublimation works on white or very light-colored polyester fabric (minimum 50% poly for any visible result, 100% polyester for full vibrancy) and on polymer-coated hard goods such as ceramic mugs, stainless tumblers, phone cases, mousepads, keychains, ornaments, aluminum panels, and coasters. It does not work on dark-colored substrates, 100% cotton, or uncoated hard goods.

Can I mix different designs on the same gang sheet?
Yes — that's exactly what a gang sheet is for. Arrange as many different designs as you want within the 22" width. No restrictions on mixing designs, colors, sizes, or artwork styles. You pay only for the area your designs fill, and there is no charge for blank space on the sheet.

Why does sublimation require a white or light-colored base?
Sublimation dye is translucent — it does not carry a white underbase the way DTF does. The dye fuses into the substrate and takes on the color of whatever surface it contacts. On a white substrate, the full vibrancy of the design comes through. On a dark or colored substrate, the dye blends with the background and produces a muted or invisible result. Always use white or light-colored substrates for best results.

Do I need a commercial heat press for sublimation transfers?
A flat commercial heat press is strongly recommended for apparel. Consistent temperature, consistent pressure, and accurate timing are critical for sublimation — household irons are difficult to control precisely and often produce uneven results. For mugs, a dedicated mug press is needed. A device like the Cricut Easy Press can work for small hobby projects, but a commercial flat press delivers the most consistent production results.

What's the difference between sublimation and DTF transfers?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers work on virtually any fabric color and type — including dark garments, cotton, and synthetics — because DTF includes a white underbase layer. Sublimation works only on white or light polyester and polymer-coated hard goods, but produces zero hand feel since the dye bonds into the material. DTF is better for dark garments and cotton. Sublimation is better for hard goods, all-over prints, and applications where a completely smooth surface is required. We offer both — see our DTF Gang Sheets listing for DTF options.

How long do sublimation transfers last?
When applied correctly on 100% polyester or polymer-coated substrates, sublimation prints are essentially permanent. The dye bonds at the molecular level and does not sit on the surface, so it cannot crack, peel, or flake. Colors may gradually fade over years with heavy UV exposure or improper washing, but a well-cared-for sublimation print on polyester will outlast the garment itself.

What's the maximum sheet length?
Individual sheets run up to 10 feet (120 inches) in length at 22" wide. Need more? Increase your order quantity — qty 2 gives you 20 feet, qty 3 gives 30 feet, and so on. Your designs print sequentially across the full combined run, making this the most efficient approach for large bulk orders.

What file format should I upload for my sublimation gang sheet?
PNG with a transparent background is the most common and reliable choice. SVG vector files produce the sharpest edges. JPEG works but doesn't support transparency. Minimum 300 dpi at actual print size, and your sheet must be exactly 22" wide. Design in sRGB color mode for the most accurate output.

Will my colors look exactly like they do on my screen?
We get very close — sublimation delivers vibrant, accurate color reproduction. Minor shifts can occur because screens display in RGB with a wider color gamut than what sublimation dyes can physically reproduce. Highly saturated neon and fluorescent colors may appear slightly less vivid in print. Design in sRGB and test on your specific substrate for a color proof before large production runs.

How fast is production and shipping?
Orders are typically ready within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). Same-day production is available for orders placed before our 2–3 PM Phoenix cutoff. Express shipping is available at checkout with delivery as fast as 1 business day. Standard U.S. shipping is free on orders of $99 or more. Local Phoenix Valley customers can pick up at our shop at 420 E Bell Rd, Suite #7, Phoenix, AZ 85022. We're open Monday–Friday 9 AM–7 PM and Saturday 9 AM–5 PM.

Do you fix errors in my artwork before printing?
No — we print exactly what we receive. Spelling errors, sizing issues, color inconsistencies, low resolution, and placement are all the responsibility of the file submitter. Please double-check everything before uploading. We cannot issue reprints for files submitted with errors present in the original upload.

What is your reprint and returns policy?
If there is a print quality or adhesion issue on our end, contact us within 45 days of receiving your order and we'll reprint at no charge. Reprints are not available for orders with errors in the uploaded file. For other refund or return requests, reach out directly so our team can review your case.
